The Grass May Not be Greener, but The Skies are Certainly Blue

 

First camping trip of the fall season and I forgot to bring my laptop... so I'm photo dumping nearly a month later, and what I can tell you is that it was lovely, and it was nearby (Huntsville SP, Raven's Loop, Site #1 (F)). That I worked a half day and dropped off our fall food drive donations to the Montgomery County Food Bank. We took several walks. I've started using Dad & Bunny's Kroger's card and that made for a hilarious text conversation. And there's a bat colony over by the Walls Unit prison. (No, not that prison, this prison.  Yes, Huntsville has a thing for prisons.)

And it was beautiful, and wonderful, and all the things I love about camping.

Miata 2023 PostCARd Challenge (Post #3)

 

It was a scorcher of a weekend as we hit the road with a few friends from the Houston Miata Club to grab the last two stops on the 2023 Texas Miata Challenge postCARd edition.  A big thanks to the DFW Lone Star Club for putting this together each year!

The map below isn't exact - it was great to have JP taking the lead and planning the route - we got to enjoy plenty of Texas back roads AND a ferry ride along the way!

We really enjoyed this year's challenge and look forward to what Lone Star puts together for next year!

Miata 2023 PostCARd Challenge (Post #2)

It was perfect weather for a three day weekend trip up to north Texas over Memorial Day Weekend to grab three more postCARds for the 10th Anniversary 2023 Texas Miata Challenge.  The murals in Fate may have been my favorite so far on these adventures, though there's not much to do in the small town you can really tell they appreciate the artistry of murals around town. 

And just in case you think you've seen it all, I submit for your viewing pleasure, a parrot out for a Sunday drive?

Two more postcards to go, and it looks like we'll have a mini fun-run with a few other members of the Miata Club for that trip!
